<p>Remotely Access Your Host PC</p><p><?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <link href="/FileManagement/Download/0598a308830f49b785228f1614bc5049" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script src="../SkinSupport/MadCapAll.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> <h1 MadCap:conditions="" class="h1break"><a name="kanchor14"></a>Accessing Your GoToMyPC Host PC</h1> <p>Once GoToMyPC is set up and running on your host PC, you can access it immediately from almost any other client computer with Windows or a Java-enabled browser that is connected to the Internet, such as from computers at airport kiosks, Internet cafes, hotels, etc.</p> <p>To remotely access your host PC, you'll need to be at a client computer (any computer other than the host PC you just set up) and you will need to know your email address, password and access code.</p> <p class="Procedure"> <img src="/FileManagement/Download/6738f7049ec948d09c046aa66763e6f6" style="border: none;float: none;width: 7px;height: 13px;border-style: none;border-style: none;" width="7" height="13" border="0" /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">To remotely access your host PC</span></p> <ol style="list-style: decimal;list-style-type: decimal;"> <li value="1">In your Web browser, type <a href="http://www.gotomypc.com" target="_blank">www.gotomypc.com</a>.</li> <li value="2">Enter your <span style="font-style: italic;">Email </span>address and account <span style="font-style: italic;">Password</span> and click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Log In</span>. </li> <li value="3">If prompted, choose the account you want to access and click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Go</span> (only applies if you have multiple GoToMyPC accounts associated with one email address).</li> </ol> <p style="margin-left: 40px;">This will load your <span style="font-style: italic;">My Computers</span> page.</p> <ol start="4" style="list-style: decimal;list-style-type: decimal;"> <li value="4">To the right Nickname of the computer, click the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Connect</span> button. </li> <li value="5">If prompted, click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Run</span> to download the GoToMyPC Viewer. PocketView users will need to click the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Download</span> link to begin download.</li> <li value="6">When prompted, enter the <span style="font-style: italic;">Access Code</span> for the host PC and click <span style="font-weight: bold;">OK</span>. </li> <li value="7">The host PC image will appear in the Viewer window.</li> </ol> <p style="margin-left: 40px;">You are now connected to your host PC and ready to start accessing all your files, applications and email as if you were sitting at your PC!</p> <p style="background-color: #efffdb;font-size: 8pt;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Note:</span> If a PC's status is Offline, then you will not be able to access that host PC. To access a host PC, you need to leave the PC on and connected to the Internet with GoToMyPC Corporate running. </p> <p style="background-color: #efffdb;font-size: 8pt;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Note:</span> If you are a GoToMyPC Corporate user and your host is a shared PC that is being accessed by another GoToMyPC user, "In Session" will appear in the connect box. If you choose to connect to a PC while it is in session, the session in progress will be terminated.
